In a significant move, Aalia Rasheed, Director of Media of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has officially declared Shaheen Shah Afridi as the vice-captain for the upcoming three-match Test series in Australia.

The left-arm pacer boasts an impressive record, having participated in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs, and 52 T20Is for Pakistan. 

As he gears up for his 28th Test, scheduled for tomorrow, Afridi's cricket journey continues to unfold.

Afridi's role as vice-captain is accompanied by his inclusion in the playing XI for the first Test, set to commence on December 14, 2023.
